Drama Series: Guardian Release Year: 2018 Rating: 8.5/10 Guardian is a widely popular and successful Bl Chinese drama based on the popular novel of the same name by author Priest. Upon it's release, the drama received back lash from the Chinese government due to it's Homosexual undertones. Though, the series was depicted to the public as a bromance, there were still hints of romantic gestures between the two main leads leading the Chinese government to cut out some scenes. This created an uproar amongst viewers but it still didn't stop the series from achieving high ratings till the finale. The series stars Zhu Zhilong and Bai Yu as the leading characters Shen Wei and Zhao Zilong resepectively. About the series Unlike the novel which was based on magic, the series took a different turn making use of scientific gadgets. Guardian is set in a place almost like earth. It's a planet called Haixing. In the beginning, Humans and aliens known as Youshou and Daixing
